As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains, and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.
Job Summary:
The Apprentice Field Service Technician will work closely with our expert teams (Mechanical, Electrical, and Winding) during site activities at power generation facilities (gas or steam). This role is designed for an individual in the early stages of their career who wishes to gain practical experience in the energy sector, always operating in strict accordance with GE Vernova’s rigorous EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) and quality guidelines..
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operational Support: Assist technical teams in the disassembly, refurbishment, installation, and reassembly of critical components in power generation equipment.
- Technical Learning: Gain proficiency in the safe and effective use of specialized hand tools and power equipment used in industrial settings.
- Documentation: Learn to interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and work procedures to execute tasks accurately.
- Field Maintenance: Actively contribute to planned maintenance activities (outages), collaborating with lead technicians, site supervisors, and EHS personnel.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training programs (internal or academic) to continuously improve technical skills and safety knowledge.
- Mobility: Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required by field assignments
- Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required

Required Qualifications & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent technical qualification.
- Strong motivation to learn and develop a technical trade within an industrial environment.
- English proficiency (required for technical documentation and communication within international teams).
- Valid Driver’s License and, where required, a valid passport.
