Who we are
Cauridor is a fast-growing cross-border payments company on a bold mission: to revolutionize Africa's financial landscape and empower the unbanked. We connect West Africa with North America and beyond, moving money across markets through a growing network of partners, products, and licensed entities — making sending and receiving money instant, seamless, and accessible through mobile wallets and bank accounts. Our teams span Guinea, Senegal, Nigeria, and other African markets alongside the USA, Canada, and Europe. Our network of strategic partners includes leading remittance companies like MoneyGram, Taptap Send, and Ria, top mobile wallet operators such as Orange and MTN, and major banks including UBA and Ecobank. Our vision is clear: to become the #1 fintech in every market we enter, driving a new era of cashless Africa.
Role purpose
The Brand Manager owns Cauridor's brand direction and visual identity across every touchpoint — campaigns, social, web, presentations, packaging, video, and animation — and formally manages the Brand Designer to deliver it. This role carries full people-management authority: hiring input, performance reviews, coaching, and accountability for the team's output and development, not just informal creative direction. It exists to give Cauridor's brand a single accountable owner — someone trusted to set strategy, make independent creative calls, and build a strong, developing team around that vision, so brand consistency scales as the company grows rather than depending on one person's individual output.
Your Impact Zone
Brand & Visual Design
- Own and evolve Cauridor's visual identity and brand strategy across digital and print assets — marketing campaigns, social media, websites, presentations, packaging, video, and animation.
- Set and uphold brand consistency standards across all internal and external communications, acting as the accountable owner of the brand guidelines.
- Take full ownership of design and brand projects from concept to final execution, with the authority to make creative decisions independently.
Market Adaptation
- Adapt and localize brand expression to resonate with diverse African markets, audiences, and cultural contexts.
- Balance local relevance with brand coherence, ensuring adaptation never drifts into inconsistency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Commercial teams to translate business and marketing objectives into strong brand and visual execution.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced, multi-market environment.
People Management
- Formally manage the Brand Designer — own hiring input, performance reviews, coaching, and their development plan.
- Hold accountability for the team's output, not just individual projects — if quality or delivery slips, this role owns the fix.
- Assign and prioritize work across the team, balancing project load between self and direct report.
Trend & Craft Development
- Stay ahead of design and brand trends, particularly within Africa and emerging markets, and bring fresh direction back to the team rather than defaulting to what's already been done.
What success looks like in the first year
- Cauridor's visual identity is noticeably more consistent and distinctive across markets, campaigns, and formats.
- Brand and design work is trusted enough that stakeholders bring this role in early, not just for final polish.
- At least one clear example of successfully adapting a campaign or asset for local market relevance without diluting the brand.
- The Brand Designer has a documented development plan and shows measurable growth under this person's management.
- Marketing and Commercial teams describe design turnaround and quality as a strength, not a bottleneck.
Your Toolkit for the Role
- 5+ years of experience in brand or graphic design, with a portfolio demonstrating strong, consistent brand work across formats (digital, print, video/animation).
- Proven ability to own projects end-to-end with minimal oversight.
- Experience designing for diverse or multi-market audiences; experience specifically in African or emerging markets is a strong advantage.
- Comfortable giving and receiving creative feedback, including guiding less experienced designers informally.
- Strong proficiency in relevant design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma) and comfortable picking up video/animation tools as needed.
- Experience in fintech, payments, or another fast-moving startup environment is a plus.
- Fluent English; French is an advantage given Cauridor's Francophone markets.
