Job Purpose: To teach classes of pupils ensuring that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs. Teaching 30 h/week (Contact and Non-contact) in Years 12&13 (IBDP1 and IBDP2) and Y11 (4ESO). To be flexible and adjust to the needs of an expanding school, actively contributing to its development and growth.
Areas of Responsibility and Key Tasks
· Inspire, engage and motivate students; collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents
· Implement agreed school policies and guidelines.
· Plan appropriately to meet the needs of all pupils, through differentiation of tasks.
· Set clear targets, based on prior attainment, for pupils’ learning.
· Provide a stimulating classroom environment, where resources can be accessed
appropriately by all pupils.
· Promote the general progress and well-being of individual students and alert appropriate
staff to problems experienced by students
· Keep appropriate and efficient records, integrating formative and summative assessment
into weekly and term planning in line with school policy.
· Report to parents on the development, progress and attainment of pupils in line with the
school assessment strategy.
· Participate in meetings which relate to the school's leadership, curriculum, administration
and organisation.
· Lead, organise and direct support staff within the classroom.
· Participate in the performance management system for the review of your own
performance, and that of other teachers as required.
· Promote the wider aspirations and values of the school
Planning, Teaching and Class Management
Teach students so that they achieve the best they can by:
· Planning effective teaching programmes which provide exemplary learning opportunities within and beyond the classroom, including the use of digital technology
· Positively targeting and supporting individual learning needs
· Maintaining high levels of behaviour and discipline in accordance with the school policies · Establishing a purposeful and safe learning environment
· Using modern technology to enhance learning opportunities
· Making use of Nord Anglia Education Global Campus online and other NAE opportunities for collaboration, innovation and competition.
Tracking, Assessment, Recording, Reporting
· Make effective use of formative and summative assessment to plan challenging learning opportunities for all students
· Monitor and record students’ learning to ensure they remain on track to achieve challenging targets
· Report on progress to appropriate stakeholders

Qualifications/Training
· Qualified to degree level or above - Essential
· Qualified Teacher status - Essential
· IB/IMYC teacher training completed - Desirable
Experience / Knowledge
· Minimum 2 years teaching experience - Essential
· Spanish native language - Essential
· English as working language - Desirable
