As part of our ambitious growth strategy across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), we are seeking an experienced and motivated Environmental Key Account Manager to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded environmental professional who thrives on building relationships, providing technical expertise, and driving business growth. You will play a key role in managing and expanding our environmental research customer base, particularly within France, while working alongside a highly skilled international team.
As our Environmental Key Account Manager, you will act as a trusted advisor to universities, research institutions, and environmental organisations. Combining scientific knowledge with commercial awareness, you will help clients achieve their environmental monitoring and research objectives while identifying opportunities to grow our business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with environmental research clients across Europe, with a particular focus on France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Switzerland
- Understand customer objectives, challenges, and technical requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring exceptional customer experience and long-term satisfaction.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within environmental research and hydrometeorology markets.
- Expand the client portfolio and drive revenue growth.
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to develop and execute growth strategies.
- Stay informed on industry developments, environmental regulations, and emerging technologies.
- Provide expert guidance on environmental monitoring solutions, micrometeorology, hydrometeorology, and related scientific applications.
- Support customers with technical advice and solution development.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
- Analyse account performance and pipeline activity.
- Collaborate with Production and Technical teams to support successful project delivery, including non-standard solutions where required.
- Work closely with research scientists, technical specialists, data analysts, and colleagues across the wider organisation.
- Contribute to a culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
You are an experienced account manager or technical sales professional with a passion for environmental science and a strong customer focus.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in technical sales and/or account management.
- Proven success working within the environmental research sector.
- Experience advising French universities or research institutions on technical matters.
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent relationship-building skills.
- Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and confidently.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive, positive, and solutions-focused approach.
- Experience working collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Full EU driving licence.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively across Europe and internationally.
- EU passport and/or unrestricted right to work within the EU.
- Degree-level qualification in an environmental discipline or equivalent industry experience.
- Fluency in French, German, and English (C2 level), both written and spoken.
- Professional qualification in Sales, Business Administration, or Leadership.
