As a Software Engineer in our eCommerce team, you'll be a key contributor to our Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) platform - delivering secure, scalable authentication, authorisation, and profile management across web, mobile, and partner channels, and helping shape the future of easyJet's digital customer experience.
What you'll be doing:
Deliver Solutions: Deliver solutions aligned to the agreed technical direction of the CIAM program within easyJet.
Implement Identity Functionality: Implement customer identity functionality using established CIAM platforms and services that align with established Mission architecture.
Write Quality Code: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that meets performance and security standards - ensuring squad-owned components are designed and implemented in alignment with Mission-level architectural patterns.
Partner Across Teams: Collaborate closely with the Lead Software Engineer and cross-functional partners - supporting delivery, contributing to scope discussions, and raising dependency risks where they impact implementation.
Review Code: Participate in code reviews - providing constructive, actionable feedback to elevate engineering quality and develop team capability.
Drive Improvement: Use engineering metrics and feedback to identify issues in delivered solutions and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering quality and reliability.
Requirements of the Role
What you’ll bring to the team
Strong Javascript/Typescript development skills ideally with experience of modern front-end frameworks such as React, TypeScript, Next.js etc.
Test-first approach including TDD and automated quality tooling.
Experience across cloud and commerce technologies covering infrastructure, and networking principles within distributed, high-performance systems.
Some understanding of CIAM security concepts such as MFA and oAuth and any experience of tooling such as Ping or Forgerock is a bonus,
Experience in CI/CD, automated testing, and DevSecOps practices.
Comfortable working within an agile delivery team and working with a high level of ambiguity.
