ROLE SUMMARY:

La Miranda School, in Barcelona, is looking for a Biology & Geology Teacher to join our Secondary School team from late August 2026. The sucessful candidate will teach a combination of Spanish Bachillerato and IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) classes, delivering engaging and high-quality lessons in both Spanish and English.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver high-quality Biology and Geology lessons across the Spanish Bachillerato and IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), fostering student engagement and academic achievement.
- Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with the Spanish National Curriculum and IB MYP framework, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Create a positive, inclusive and inquiry-based classroom environment that supports students\' academic and personal development.
- Monitor student progress, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate assessment and reporting records.
- Collaborate with colleagues, pastoral teams and school leadership to support curriculum development, interdisciplinary learning and whole-school initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues, contributing positively to the wider life of the school.

Requisitos

Requisitos: - Degree in Biology or a closely related scientific discipline.
- Spanish teaching qualification (Máster de Profesorado or CAP).
- Experience teaching Secondary Science/Biology.
- Ability to teach confidently in both:
- Spanish (Biology & Biology/Geology – Spanish Bachillerato)
- English (IB MYP Biology/Geology and Scientific Culture)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous professional development.
