Job Description:
The opportunity
Power transformers sit at the heart of the energy transition and majorly a complex engineered industrial good. That makes Configure – Price – Quote (CPQ) one of the most demanding and highest-leverage processes in our business: it has to turn complex technical configurations and shifting material costs into fast, accurate, and profitable quotes, consistently, across every hub and region.
As Global CPQ Process Owner for Power Transformers, you will own this process end to end – from strategy and roadmap through to daily execution and adoption. You will standardize how we configure, price, and quote globally, lift sales efficiency and quote quality, and make sure the process holds up against the real engineering complexity of a configure / engineer-to-order product. You will sit at the center of sales, engineering, pricing, and IT, with the mandate to drive measurable change.
This position can be fulfilled remotely within Europe. Please submit your application in English.
How you’ll make an impact
Own the global CPQ process blueprint for Power Transformers – including process standards, required controls, and alignment to global templates – ensuring consistent execution across hubs and regions.
Make CPQ work for an engineered product: ensure the process and tooling handle complex technical configuration, engineering rules, and cost/pricing logic, and that the sales–engineering handoff is fast and clean.
Lead business demand management from intake to prioritized backlog – fit-gap analysis, change-request triage, business validation – and translate it into clear user stories and acceptance criteria with platform and IT delivery teams.
Drive the CPQ roadmap for your scope by preparing decisions, proposing priorities, and aligning with governance bodies and release-planning cadences.
Act as the main business point of contact for the Global Product Group and regions on CPQ topics, aligning stakeholders and managing trade-offs across competing demands.
Build and lead the hub and local network of key users and process representatives to drive template adoption, capture improvement ideas, reduce deviations, and accelerate best-practice sharing.
Own business readiness for releases – process documentation, training approach, business-side UAT entry/exit criteria, and go-live adoption follow-up to secure benefits realisation.
Partner with IT and platform teams on end-to-end process performance, with particular focus on cross-system dependencies and integration impacts on user experience and cycle time.
Keep the line between business ownership and IT delivery clear, so issues get resolved fast and accountability never falls through the cracks.
Your background
15 plus years relevant experience in sales, sales processes, or sales operations, with strong exposure to global stakeholder management.
Hands-on experience with CPQ for configurable or engineer-to-order products – you understand how technical configuration, pricing logic, and the sales–engineering interface come together.
A track record of driving global, complex transformation programmes and securing alignment with leadership and business stakeholders.
Proven ability to lead initiatives with many stakeholders and to drive decisions without formal authority.
Strong experience with process governance, standardisation, and change management in intercultural environments.
Solid requirements-engineering capability: workshop facilitation, problem framing, high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria, and structured prioritisation.
Excellent communication and leadership, with the ability to translate between business needs and platform delivery constraints.
A strategic, entrepreneurial mindset paired with hands-on execution and a focus on tangible outcomes.
Familiarity with enterprise-grade IT solutions and a working understanding of process improvement, sales efficiency, and innovation (a plus).Understanding in process improvement, sales efficiency and innovation
