Role description
For our Spanish branch, we are looking for an experienced and business-oriented
Country Finance Manager to lead the Finance & Administration function in the Country.
This is a key leadership role for a finance professional, directly reporting to the Deputy CFO, and it combines strong technical expertise and pragmatic, hands-on approach. As the primary finance leader in Spain, you will ensure financial integrity, safeguard company assets, drive compliance, and provide insights that support sustainable growth; you will also be responsible for supervising and managing all financial operations within the respect of local regulations while optimizing operational efficiency.
You will work closely with the Global Controller and the FP&A team, directly coordinating another resource.
Main responsibilities
As Country Finance Manager, you will:
- Monitor accounts receivable and facilitate timely collections to optimize cash flow;
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial transactions;
- Oversee cash and bank management activities, ensuring liquidity for business operations;
- Consolidate and prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for submission to the CFO;
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring proper reconciliation of accounts;
- Manage cost accounting to support budgeting and improve operational efficiency;
- Prepare cash flow forecasts to enhance financial planning and decision-making;
- Lead audit management, acting as the key liaison with external auditors;
- Maintain strong relationships with banking institutions to ensure smooth financial operations;
- Oversee credit risk management and contribute to the company's financial stability;
- Support procurement, insurance, legal coordination, and HR administration where required.
Required skills
- Experience in finance/accounting/auditing roles, preferrable in consulting companies or firms (4-7 years);
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, tax compliance, treasury, and credit risk management;
- Experience managing statutory audits and relationships with banks, tax advisors, and external stakeholders;
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across different functions and countries;
- Professional fluency in English.
