Brand Manager - Own Brands Food (zooplus)
Join us as a strategic brand builder and help shape the future of pet food.
We're looking for a curious, data-loving, and creative brand enthusiast to drive the growth of Zooplus' Own Brands Food portfolio. As a Brand Manager, you'll partner with the Senior Brand Manager and drive the growth of our Natural High-premium Brands - overseeing commercial performance, building insight-driven strategies, and supporting cross-functional execution that brings our brands to life.
You'll collaborate closely with Marketing & Sales, Product Development, and Purchasing to ensure every brand is differentiated, customer-centric, and commercially successful.

Key Responsibilities
Brand Leadership

Lead strategy and execution for your brand, driving positioning, growth plans, and cross-functional initiatives to deliver long-term impact

Own strategic decision-making for long-term portfolio positioning and the development of guiding frameworks across the business

Steer transformational initiatives such as repositioning, rescue plans

Drive category-level growth by setting tactical priorities, monitoring performance, and ensuring commercial and marketing alignment

Steer decisions on NPD and portfolio optimization

Advocate for category initiatives across cross-functional teams, ensuring timely execution and alignment with overall portfolio strategy
Cross-Functional & Organizational Leadership

Act as an interface across sales, marketing, pricing, procurement, and finance to secure alignment and resources for brand portfolio and category ambitions

Elevate cross-functional collaboration from execution to strategic alignment with long-term priorities
Insight & Market Foresight

Lead in-depth performance reviews at both brand and category levels, identifying growth drivers and risks

Translate insights into strategic action plans for the brand and category, balancing short-term gains with long term sustainability

Monitor market and competitor trends, integrating foresight into portfolio and department strategy
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is a plus
-
5+ years of experience in marketing or brand management, preferably within retail, FMCG or pet nutrition; strong understanding of the natural pet food category is highly desirable

Proven track record of leading brand strategy development and execution, with the ability to translate insights into impactful commercial initiatives

Strong stakeholder leadership skills, with experience influencing senior cross-functional partners and driving alignment across complex organizations

Advanced analytical capabilities, with confidence in leveraging data and large datasets to inform decision-making and measure performance

Strategic thinker with a high level of curiosity, ownership, and proactivity; able to navigate ambiguity and lead multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and storytelling skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage
