ICFO is offering a postdoctoral position to a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientist who wishes to enhance his/her scientific career in a friendly and stimulating environment.
The successful candidate will be joining the Medical Optics research group led by Prof. Turgut Durduran who is looking for a postdoctoral fellow for the development, testing and deployment of next generation devices based on speckle contrast optical spectroscopy (SCOS) and related metthods akin to near-infrared diffuse correlation spectroscopy. The fellow will be working with teams that collaborate with USA (Wash. U. St Louis, UT Southwestern), Italy (Milan, Padova) and locally with INEFC. They will be in charge of the devleopment of the next generation SCOS systems including novel approaches to new sources and detectors.
Candidates must hold an internationally-recognized Ph.D.-equivalent degree (or evidence of its completion in the nearest future) preferably in engineering or physics.
The candidate should have a proven experience in:
- Experimental work involving laser speckle statistics.
- Device design and construction.
Optical engineering and software development.
