About the company
At Nuitée, we are building the API backbone for the global travel industry. Founded in 2017, Nuitée is on a mission to transform a fragmented travel ecosystem with simple, scalable, and API-first infrastructure—think "Stripe for Travel."
By enabling seamless connectivity between hotels, OTAs, fintechs, super-apps, and businesses, some of which are entering the travel market for the first time, Nuitée empowers companies to deliver reliable travel products effortlessly. Our robust platform simplifies complex supplier networks, offering direct access to hotel inventory with better pricing, coverage, and technology.
With teams across the globe, including hubs in London, New York, San Francisco, Palma de Mallorca and Casablanca, Nuitée has grown into a global infrastructure provider trusted by industry leaders like Hopper, Priceline, Google, and Uber.
Now backed by leading VCs and world-class investors including leaders from Booking.com, Stripe, and Shopify, Nuitée is positioned to redefine the B2B travel market, streamline operations for hotels, and enable new applications through cutting-edge APIs.
Nuitée is at the forefront of a revolution—delivering AI-powered, smarter, and more personalized travel experiences for a new era.
Remote in EU, or hybrid in Barcelona, Palma, Dublin, or Casablanca.
This is an Engineering Manager role for someone who wants to stay close to hard technical and data problems.
Nuitée is hiring an Engineering Manager to own the mapping platform that turns messy global hotel supply into accurate, trusted, sellable inventory.
You'll lead a business-critical domain where matching, deduplication, content enrichment, automation, and ML directly affect whether hotel inventory can be searched, trusted, booked, and sold.
Every supplier describes the hotel world differently. The same hotel can appear under different IDs. Room types can be named and structured differently. Content can be incomplete, duplicated, mismatched, or attached to the wrong hotel or room.
Cupid is our internal mapping platform. It covers hotel mapping, room mapping, content mapping, and the operational workflows that keep inventory quality high at scale.
Your role is to lead the team behind it, modernise the systems and workflows, and build a clearer operating model across engineering, data/ML, and mapping operations.
A good way to think of it is: you turn fragmented supplier data into reliable inventory that customers can search, trust, book, and sell.
- You own a hard, specific domain at the core of hotel inventory quality
- You stay close to technical decisions, architecture, data flows, and tradeoffs
- You work on production ML problems around matching, classification, enrichment, automation, and data quality
- You modernise a mature platform with real room to improve the systems, workflows, and team structure
- Your work connects directly to conversion, supply quality, customer experience, and revenue
This is a high-ownership role with high expectations, and it comes with meaningful equity in the company. Nuitée was already profitable before raising a $48M Series A led by Accel, and has grown 10x since 2022. If you help build the next phase of Nuitée, we want you to share meaningfully in the value you create.
- How do we match the same hotel or room when different suppliers describe it differently?
- How do we make images, descriptions, amenities, and other content more accurate and useful?
- How do we use automation and ML to improve mapping quality while keeping systems explainable and operable?
- How do we reduce manual work and operational bottlenecks while keeping quality high?
- How do we create one clear operating model across engineering, data/ML, and mapping operations?
- have experience as an Engineering Manager or senior technical engineering leader
- have a strong software engineering / computer science background
- understand backend, data, platform, and infrastructure systems
- have led teams working on complex data-heavy products
- can mentor engineers and raise the technical bar in a relatively junior team
- can connect technical work to user value, quality, and commercial outcomes
- are structured, pragmatic, and analytical
Experience with matching, entity resolution, search, ranking, recommendations, classification, content enrichment, catalog quality, data quality automation, or production ML/data systems would be especially relevant.
Nuitée is fast-moving, low on process, and high on ownership. That suits you if you like pace, responsibility, technical complexity, and building structure without slowing things down.
If that resonates, we'd love to hear from you. You can apply with your LinkedIn profile or CV. The process is straightforward and typically takes 2 to 3 weeks.
