We’re looking for a Design & Documentation Engineer – Brake Systems to manage ongoing and upcoming projects with the department. This includes design, documentation, risk analysis, new developments and workshop tasks. You’ll work alongside people who show up with ownership, passion, and dedication — because they know what’s at stake: the journey home.
Design and re-engineering of pieces and parts using Autodesk Inventor. Metal parts, rubber parts, springs, belows…
Mechanical design input on modifications: Contribute to the preparation of engineering effort estimates required to carry out the mechanical design; coordinate with key suppliers; create and update mechanical drawings and schematics; create and update bills of materials (BOMs); perform calculations and simulations to validate the design, and ensure that changes comply with Alstom's change and configuration management processes.
Engineering input on projects: Contribute to the preparation of mechanical design effort estimates for projects; coordinate with suppliers; deliver engineering deliverables for design-for-quality (DfQ) gate reviews; create and update mechanical drawings and schematics; create and update bills of materials (BOMs); perform calculations and simulations to validate the design, and ensure compliance with Alstom's change and configuration management processes.

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial, Design, Chemical or Materials Engineering.
You are a match if you have experience working with rubber parts, defining materials, designing them, selecting the proper material, etc.
