Wabtec Iberica is a leading provider of maintenance and overhaul services for Spanish railway operators, supporting a broad range of onboard train systems, including doors, brakes, HVAC systems, pantographs, as well as Platform Screen Doors (PSDs).
How will you make a difference?
As a Quality Manufacturing Engineer, reporting to the “Production and Supplier Quality Manager”, you will ensure compliance with quality requirements during installation, commissioning, and start-up activities for railway projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring adherence to corporate standards, contractual requirements, industry regulations, and customer expectations through process audits, inspections, control plan monitoring, and non-conformance management.
What will your typical day look like?

Ensure compliance with procedures, work instructions, technical specifications, and quality standards during installation and assembly activities.

Verify the implementation and effectiveness of Quality Plans, Control Plans, commissioning activities and Inspection & Test Plans, and monitor and control inspection activities.

Ensure traceability and proper maintenance of quality records associated with completed work.

Plan, conduct, and document on-site process audits to verify compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and approved procedures.

Identify non-conformities, process deviations, and opportunities for improvement, and drive corrective and preventive actions through closure.

Ensure functional, operational, and performance testing is conducted according to approved procedures and specifications.

Record, analyse, and track non-conformities identified during installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

Participate in root cause analysis using quality methodologies such as 5 Why, Ishikawa, 8D, and QRQC.

Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Participate in quality review meetings and report key quality indicators, risks, deviations, and action plans.
What do we want to know about you?

Engineering degree
-
+2 years experience in Quality (eg. customer, warranty, production)

Knowledge of Quality Tools (Control Plan, FMEA, MSA, 8D, FTA, QRQC, SPC)

Knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO 9001, ISO TS 22163 “IRIS”)

Professional knowledge of Spanish and English (French and German considered a plus)

Customer-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good communication skills, charisma, leadership and ability to influence others

Collaborative and teamwork oriented

Availability to work on-site and travel according to project requirements

Availability to work night shifts, weekends, and operational windows when required
