- Support the definition, development and implementation of Functional Safety requirements for automotive systems and components, ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 and applicable automotive safety requirements.
- Contribute to Functional Safety activities throughout the relevant phases of the automotive product development lifecycle, from concept definition to system, hardware and software development.
- Perform and support Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) activities, including hazard identification, risk classification and Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL) determination.
- Contribute to the definition and development of Safety Goals, Functional Safety Concepts and Technical Safety Concepts.
- Define, analyse and follow up Functional Safety requirements, ensuring their correct allocation, implementation, verification and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Act as a technical interface between Product Compliance, systems, software, hardware and engineering teams, translating Functional Safety requirements into clear and actionable technical specifications.
- Review system architectures, technical specifications and engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with Functional Safety requirements and ISO 26262.
- Support safety analyses and the identification and resolution of complex safety-related issues in automotive systems.
- Participate in technical reviews, safety assessments and compliance activities, ensuring that the required Functional Safety deliverables and evidence are available and compliant.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure the consistent integration of Functional Safety requirements across system, hardware and software development.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of Functional Safety documentation and safety-related work products throughout the project lifecycle.
- Degree in Automotive, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the automotive industry.
- Professional experience in Functional Safety applied to automotive systems.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 26262 and its application throughout the automotive product development lifecycle.
- Experience with Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA), Safety Goals and ASIL classification.
- Knowledge of Functional Safety Concept and Technical Safety Concept development.
- Good understanding of automotive electrical/electronic architectures, embedded systems and system development processes.
- Ability to analyse complex systems and translate safety and regulatory requirements into actionable engineering requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Experience with Functional Safety requirements management, traceability and verification activities is considered an advantage.
- Experience with safety analyses such as FMEA, FTA or similar methodologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of automotive powertrain systems, hybrid or electrified vehicles and their critical electronic components is an advantage.
- Knowledge of ISO/SAE 21434 and automotive cybersecurity is considered a plus.
- Knowledge of ASPICE and AUTOSAR is considered a plus.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary system, software and hardware engineering teams is an advantage.
- Knowledge of French is considered a plus.
