Description
IRP Systems is developing the next generation of high-performance e-powertrain systems that will change the electric vehicles market. We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Power Electronics Engineer to support our engineering activities on a freelance/contract basis in Barcelona.
You’ll be responsible for the following
Support the design and development of high-power electronic systems
Contribute to schematic reviews, PCB design activities, and power electronics validation
Perform testing, validation, debugging, and characterization of power electronics hardware
Contribute to prototype bring-up and system integration activities
Support the migration of existing electronic design data, libraries, and workflows into Altium, while helping improve PCB design practices and standards
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams during development and testing phases
Document technical findings and support engineering decision-making
Skills and Qualifications:
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Power Electronics, or a related field
Experience in EV or automotive electronics development
Strong hands-on background in power electronics design and validation
Solid understanding of inverter topologies, gate drivers, HV systems, and power semiconductors
Experience with Altium Designer (PCB layout experience is not mandatory)
Familiarity with laboratory equipment and hardware debugging methodologies
Experience with simulation tools such as LTspice or equivalent
Ability to independently drive technical tasks in fast-paced R&D environments
Fluent English communication skills
