ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are currently recruiting a Finance Operations Assistant (Data Entry Clerk) based in Madrid.
This role is responsible for processing and allocating deposits received from external agents, ensuring that payments are accurately recorded in the company's systems and reflected in the corresponding agent balances.
The position plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy of financial records by processing high volumes of transactions, identifying payment discrepancies and escalating issues to the appropriate teams when required.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Review deposits received in Ria bank accounts and accurately record the corresponding transactions in the company's systems.

Allocate payments to the appropriate external agents and update their account balances.

Process a high volume of daily financial transactions while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Review payment information and identify discrepancies such as partial payments, duplicate deposits, missing references or allocation issues.

Escalate inconsistencies to the Accounts Receivable or Credit teams for further investigation and resolution.

Maintain complete and accurate records of all processed deposits.

Support the Bank Reconciliation team by reviewing specific deposits when required.

Ensure compliance with internal procedures and operational controls.

Contribute to meeting daily productivity and quality objectives.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Previous experience in an administrative, finance support or data processing role will be valued.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to process high volumes of information efficiently while maintaining quality.

Good analytical skills with the ability to identify inconsistencies and escalate them appropriately.

Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.

Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and procedures.

Team player with a proactive attitude.

Minimum A-Level education or equivalent. A qualification in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration would be an advantage.
