An opportunity for a Customer Services & Material Support Program Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).
The selected candidate will join the LTA (Light Transport Aircraft) Material Services Team . The team is multidisciplinary, highly dynamic, and works in close contact with international Customers and Regional Directors. Our main challenge is to ensure the perfect execution of performance-based logistics and In-Service Support contracts (spares and repairs) for our aircraft fleets. The jobholder will reinforce our Program Management area, taking part in the definition, implementation, and steering of complex material support strategies to secure high fleet availability while meeting strict time, cost, and quality targets.
The main tasks of the jobholder will be:
Lead and Manage Contracts: Direct Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) and In-Service Support (ISS) contracts, ensuring full compliance with spares and repairs requirements.
Act as Primary Interface: Serve as the main bridge between Customer Services Regional Directors, Material Services, and Program Management to ensure clear reporting and strategic alignment.
Secure End-to-End Delivery: Coordinate with multiple Centres of Competence (Operations, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Finance) to proactively manage material issues and ensure seamless Entry Into Service (EIS).
Financial & Cost Steering: Monitor and steer the cost evolution, operating plans, and budgets, identifying deviations early and establishing corrective actions to meet EBIT and revenue targets.
Risk & Governance Management: Manage Material Services risks and mitigation plans, formally representing the department in Program Governance reviews and escalating critical issues when necessary.
Drive Continuous Improvement: Support optimization projects (e.g., Optimum, Lean Services) to reduce cost factors and identify potential risks of non-compliance, acting always with the highest level of integrity.

Education: Aeronautical / Industrial Engineering degree, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Experience: Strong background (ideally 5+ years) in Project/Program Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Material Support within the aerospace or complex industrial sectors.
Soft skills: High adaptability to work on new topics, excellent communication and negotiation skills to interface with senior stakeholders, strong leadership, and capability to work in a networking mode.
Languages: Advanced level in English.
Technical knowledge: Proficiency in Project Management methodologies, financial/budget tracking, and tools related to Supply Chain/Material Operations (e.g., SAP or equivalent ERPs).
Valuable / Nice to have: Experience in Military Aircraft Programs (specifically LTA or MRTT perimeters), knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, and compliance/risk management frameworks.
