Job Description

Join Avanade Spain and lead strategic growth across Financial Services & Insurance in a market defined by digital banking, AI, cloud, cybersecurity and regulatory transformation

Avanade is looking for a senior Sales Lead to shape and accelerate our go-to-market strategy for Financial Services & Insurance clients in Spain.

Spain’s financial services & Insurance sector is entering a new phase of transformation, driven by digital banking, Traditional & Health insurance businesses, open finance, AI adoption, cyber resilience, cloud modernization and increasing regulatory pressure. In this context, you will help banks, insurers and financial institutions turn technology investment into measurable business outcomes.

This is a high-visibility opportunity for a senior commercial leader who can open executive conversations, shape strategic opportunities and leverage the combined strength of Avanade, Microsoft and Accenture to grow our FSI footprint in Spain.

What you’ll do

As Sales Lead – FSI Spain, you will own growth, pipeline, executive relationships and market relevance across banking, insurance and financial services clients.

1. Define and lead the sector strategy

Define and execute the FSI growth strategy for Spain, focusing on priority accounts, senior decision-makers and high-value transformation opportunities

Prioritize key accounts, target markets and strategic offerings with clear commercial focus

Build growth plans that connect financial institutions’ priorities with Microsoft-led transformation opportunities

2. Manage territory performance and build a qualified pipeline

Lead territory planning, account coverage, segmentation and commercial governance

Build, monitor and secure a robust, qualified and predictable pipeline

Accelerate strategic opportunities across cloud, data & AI, core modernization, business applications, cybersecurity and digital workplace

3. Drive C-level engagement and strategic account development

Develop trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, including C-level and senior business leaders

Position Avanade as a strategic transformation partner for banks, insurers and financial institutions navigating digital reinvention, regulatory change and operational resilience

Lead value-led conversations that connect technology decisions to growth, efficiency, resilience and customer impact

4. Provide commercial leadership and team direction

Lead and energize multidisciplinary pursuit teams, creating focus, pace and accountability

Create a high-performance culture focused on quality, discipline and commercial excellence

Drive senior-level deal qualification, win strategy and commercial decision-making

5. Orchestrate internal teams and partner ecosystems

Mobilize Sales, Offering, Delivery, Industry and Alliance teams to bring the best of Avanade to each strategic client conversation

Strengthening joint pursuits with Microsoft and Accenture, turning ecosystem collaboration into competitive advantage

6. Increase market influence and Avanade’s visibility

Increase Avanade’s visibility and credibility in the Spanish Financial Services market

Represent Avanade in relevant market events, client forums, publications and industry initiatives

Build influence with clients, partners and industry stakeholders to originate new strategic opportunities

7. Anticipate market trends and drive commercial innovation

Stay ahead of sector shifts such as digital banking, open finance, AI-enabled operations, cyber resilience, regulatory transformation and customer experience reinvention

Continuously adapt commercial approaches and value propositions to local client needs

Identify new growth levers, commercial models and AI-led opportunities that can shape Avanade’s next stage of growth in Financial Services in Spain

Qualification

About you

Senior experience, ideally 15+ years, in business development, complex sales or strategic account leadership within consulting, technology services or systems integration

Strong exposure to Financial Services, ideally across banking, insurance or capital markets in the Spanish market

Demonstrated track record originating, shaping and closing strategic, transformation- led and large-scale deals

Ability to define market strategy, make clear commercial choices and turn opportunities into qualified , executive-backed pipeline

Experience leading sales teams and coordinating extended teams across offerings, delivery and alliances

Executive presence, credibility and confidence to advise C-level stakeholders on strategic transformation priorities

Experience with Microsoft technologies, cloud transformation or the Microsoft partner ecosystem is highly valued

Recognized leadership style , with the ability to align senior stakeholders , create momentum and drive disciplined execution

Fluent English and Spanish, with the ability to operate in an international environment
