THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE
Santander is looking for a Talent & Capability Design for the Data & AI CoE based out of Boadilla del Monte.
As the Talent & Capability Design for the Data & AI CoE, you will design and deliver the frameworks, methodologies, and learning architectures that build the skills for Data & AI function to enable Santander AI-native workforce.
You will translate the AI Talent Strategy into practical capability models, learning journeys, and career frameworks that accelerate growth for both the Data & AI function and the wider organization .
You’ll partner with Learning, Talent Management, Organisation and People Analytics teams to ensure that AI skills, behaviors, and leadership capabilities are embedded in every aspect of the employee lifecycle.
We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:
- Lead the design and deployment of the AI Capability Framework and AI Skills Maturity Model.
- Partner with Global Learning to co-create and scale programs for upskilling and re-skilling
- Partner with Global learning to develop and maintain AI learning pathways and certification programs by role, level, and persona.
- Create and manage the AI Skill Taxonomy , linking it to job architecture, performance, and career frameworks.
- Collaborate with Talent Management and Leadership teams to embed AI competencies and behaviors into talent reviews and leadership development.
- Partner with change management team to ensure learning adoption, skill progression, and AI literacy across the function.
- Leverage People Analytics to track skill acquisition, capability growth, and program ROI.
- Act as the learning and capability ambassador within the AI Talent Steering Committee, ensuring alignment with business strategy and regulatory requirements.

Professional Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Learning & Development, Capability Building, or Talent Strategy roles (required).
- Proven experience designing learning frameworks for technical or digital skills (AI, Data, Tech, Digital Transformation) (required).
- Strong experience working with global CoEs and cross-market teams (required).
Familiarity with learning technologies (required).

Education
- Bachelor’s degree required (Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or related) -required-.
Master’s degree in Learning Design, Organizational Development, or Talent Strategy preferred.

Hard skills
- Deep understanding of learning architecture, capability frameworks, and adult learning design (required).
- Knowledge of AI and Data literacy models and workforce reskilling strategies (required).
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills (required).
Analytical mindset and ability to use data for learning insights (required).

Languages
- Fluent in English and Spanish (C1+) (required).
