The position
We are looking for an experienced Director of Project Management to lead and develop our Project Management function at our Vitoria manufacturing site. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing a team and ensuring the successful execution of multiple concurrent projects aligned with business strategy.
As a Director of Project Management, you will operate at both strategic and operational levels, driving project excellence, optimizing resources, and ensuring all projects deliver on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Main responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 10–15 professionals.

Foster a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative team culture.

Define roles, responsibilities, and career development plans within the PM organization.

Ensure consistent use of project management best practices, tools, and methodologies.

Oversee the full portfolio of manufacturing and industrial projects at the Vitoria site.

Ensure alignment of all projects with business objectives and strategic priorities.

Monitor project performance across timeline, cost, quality, and risk dimensions.

Establish governance frameworks and reporting standards for project execution.

Drive efficient resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Implement and continuously improve project management processes and standards.

Identify risks proactively and lead mitigation strategies at portfolio level.

Promote operational excellence and continuous improvement within manufacturing projects.

Act as the main interface with senior leadership, including VP Project Execution and GM Spain.

Communicate project status, risks, and strategic recommendations to executives.

Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (engineering, production, quality, supply chain) and external partners.

Define and deploy the project management strategy for the Vitoria plant.

Introduce best practices (Lean, Agile, Industry 4.0 where applicable).

Drive standardization, efficiency, and scalability of project execution processes.

Ensure projects contribute to business value and ROI.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial, or related field.

10+ years of experience in project management within manufacturing or industrial environments. Ideally some experience in power electronics.

Proven experience managing multiple complex projects and leading PM teams.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operations.

Previous experience working in a multinational company at global environment is key.

Excellent stakeholder management skills and customer oriented.
