Role Overview: A fantastic opportunity to join McAfee in an influential role as Software Procurement Specialist within Global Procurement Services (GPS). Where you will have key responsibility for all aspects of optimizing business applications spend.
Reporting to the Technology Services Category Lead you will have the responsibility of overseeing Business applications (SaaS) spend which encompasses c.$100m across 300 suppliers. Applications at McAfee are mostly subscriptions to SaaS solutions provided from the cloud, both for specific service functions as well as helping to deliver our core products.
Key activities for this role include partnering with the Technology team to identify business needs and have a good understanding of the market to identify appropriate vendors to participate in sourcing events. Cost Optimization will be a continued focus and priority of the role including building and maintaining the applications renewal pipeline, and the responsibility for identifying, investigating, and managing optimizations in the licensing spend, mostly driven by consolidation - identifying different applications fulfilling the same (or similar) functions with the opportunity to entirely remove specific applications and rationalization - reviewing the current licenses stock and identifying users with low usage, and the opportunity to reduce license count.
This is a hybrid position based in Madrid, Spain. We will only consider candidates currently in Spain and are not offering relocation assistance at this time. Position Details:
About the Role:

Responsible for SaaS Business Applications Sourcing for all needs of the Engineering, Product, Business Services, and various other departments using technology vendors including Cloud, SaaS, Hosting, Data Services, tools, and applications.

Maintain an applications licenses renewal pipeline, leveraging McAfee tools and in close collaboration with the Technology Services teams.

They will need to build relationships with the users of those applications in multiple functions across the business, to understand and document the use case of specific applications.

They will also need to manage vendor relationships and run direct negotiations to optimize 3rd party costs.

Understand and research the Applications market so you remain aware of best practices, leading suppliers, and benchmark best practices.

Partner across the business to jointly develop cost reduction strategies. Drive the analysis and reporting on spend to identify and build sponsorship to pursue new savings opportunities.

Responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies in full alignment and close collaboration with the Technology Services Category Lead.

Responsible for developing and building options analysis and financial scenarios to present identified options to senior stakeholders to build sponsorship to pursue new savings opportunities.

Collect and manipulate the relevant information on the admin portals of new applications.

Proven ability to challenge current practice, seek alternative options, and challenge convention.

Usage of AI as an accelerator in all previous tasks
About You:

7+ years of experience and extensive knowledge of SaaS Applications, with the ability to grasp key improvement concepts.

Deep knowledge of different models of software licensing (on-prem, hybrid, subscription, cloud and understanding of the economics and cost evolutions.

Partnership and relationship management expertise with business units and Corporate functions.

Experience in compliance and audit processes.

Ability to view applications in a strategic context, balancing stakeholder needs and overall business goals, and then building strategies incorporating both.

Excellent reading comprehension and the ability to understand complex contracts.

Able to work across cultures effectively, valuing diversity within a virtual team.

Excellent and proven communication and influencing skills to senior leaders and stakeholders at all levels.

Strong data analytical abilities to drive actionable insights and develop compelling messages.

Procurement/Supply Chain certification preferred (e.g., CPSM, CPP, CIPS, SPSM, or CSCP.
