The European Climate Foundation (ECF) was founded in 2008 as a major philanthropic initiative to help tackle climate change by fostering the development of a low-carbon society at the national, European and global level.
We support over 1000 partner organisations to carry out activities that contribute to the public debate on climate action, drive urgent and ambitious policy in support of the objectives of the Paris Agreement and help deliver a socially responsible transition to a net-zero emissions economy and sustainable society in Europe and around the world.
ECF requires seamless and cost-effective digital workplace services for all its staff across different geographies. ECF has offices in the Hague, Brussels, Paris, London, Berlin, Madrid, Warsaw, as well as staff working fully remotely in other locations. ECF staff has flexible working practices.
ECF needs to reinforce its Digital Workplace (DW) team and capabilities.
As IT Senior Officer - Digital Workplace you are responsible for the delivery and continuous improvement of the related IT services across all ECF locations. You are based in one of the ECF main offices. You will be reporting to the ECF IT Manager for Digital Workplace and Business Applications.
You have the ability to gather business requirements and to translate them into cost-effective IT services (DW), to create implementation plans, to analyse service cost, and to coordinate the implementation both with ECF colleagues and with external suppliers. You can support a macOS fleet running on Microsoft 365 and have experience in L1 and L2 generic IT support (Office suite & Sharepoint support, laptop issues, general troubleshooting, etc), website maintenance and have an appetite to bring improvements to existing processes and documentation.
You are a service-oriented person with dedication to creating a seamless user experience. You dare to question the status quo and to speak up.
Working closely with the IT team, ECF business stakeholders (HR, Office management team, etc.), end-users, and external service providers, you will be responsible for:
Digital Workplace (DW) services management

Participate in the design, implementation, testing, and improvement of the DW services, with a specific attention on user experience and cost-effectiveness

Provide technical analysis for provider selection: benchmarks, performance, cost-effectiveness, constraints, etc.

Support ECF in managing its websites, including security patching and generic troubleshooting

Collaborate with external managed services providers on support activities and complex incidents/requests resolution

Monitor DW services performance (adoption, user satisfaction, SLA, etc.)

Manage licenses and operational budget of multiple cloud applications

Contribute to project delivery with internal or external resources (service providers, vendors, consultants, etc.)

Contribute to the improvement of the overall IT Service Management setup, systems, and processes

Provide input for the DW service levels & relevant projects

Support relevant cybersecurity activities related to DW services

Support the DW services adoption and change management

Develop training material and deliver induction & training to ECF users

Contribute to the writing of user guides, support documentation, and related internal policies

ECF's DW services currently leverage Microsoft 365 capabilities, Iru (MDM), Sentinel One, Slack, Monday.com, etc.

University degree in a technical field

At least 4 years of relevant experience (IT Support / IT Project Delivery)

Experience in managing macOS fleet (Apple MacBook) is an advantage

Experience or certifications related to Microsoft365 administration (SharePoint, Teams, EMS, etc.)

Experience in managing websites (hosting, Wordpress support, etc.)

Strong consideration of cybersecurity-related matters

Experience in an international (remote) IT support context

Good understanding of Agile principles

Good active listening and communication skills

Written and verbal communications in English; another European language is an asset
