The Platform team is the foundation of GoMining’s ecosystem. It owns the services that every product depends on — custody, KYC, compliance, core application components, and platform reliability.
As Head of Platform, you will own this domain end-to-end. You will define the platform strategy, lead a cross-functional engineering organization, establish engineering standards, and ensure the platform remains secure, scalable, and highly available.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a combination of technical expertise, product ownership, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Platform Ownership

Own the Platform domain as an internal product serving multiple product teams.

Define the platform strategy, roadmap, priorities, and success metrics.

Drive platform scalability, reliability, and engineering excellence.
Custody & Financial Infrastructure

Own custody infrastructure, including Fireblocks, Uphold, and similar providers.

Ensure secure asset storage, withdrawals, deposits, and fund movements.

Improve operational reliability across wallet infrastructure.
Compliance Platform

Own KYC, Travel Rule, and compliance-related platform capabilities.

Work closely with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure regulatory readiness, including MiCA requirements.

Improve verification flows and customer onboarding performance.
Platform Reliability

Define and maintain platform SLA and uptime targets.

Establish incident management, monitoring, and operational excellence processes.

Improve deployment reliability and platform resilience.
Engineering Leadership

Lead a cross-functional platform team.

Mentor engineers and technical leads.

Drive architectural decisions and engineering standards.

Build a strong engineering culture focused on quality and ownership.
Cross-functional Collaboration

Work closely with Product, Engineering, Security, Compliance, and Operations teams.

Requirements

3+ years leading platform, infrastructure, or core engineering teams.

Experience owning shared platform services used by multiple product teams.

Strong experience in fintech, payments, digital banking, crypto, or financial infrastructure.

Practical experience with custody platforms such as Fireblocks or similar solutions.

Deep understanding of KYC providers, Travel Rule, AML, and regulatory compliance.

Experience defining and managing platform reliability, SLA, uptime, and incident management processes.

Strong Node.js background with the ability to review architecture and production code.

Experience building and scaling engineering organizations.

Experience owning platform budgets, roadmaps, and business priorities.
