Your role
As Finance Director, you will lead the financial strategy and overall financial management of Nômade Temple Madrid, ensuring the business achieves its financial, operational, and strategic objectives. You will act as a strategic partner to the General Manager and Executive Committee, providing accurate financial insights, driving profitability, managing risk, and supporting informed business decisions.
You will oversee Finance, Procurement, and relevant financial systems and processes, ensuring strong financial governance, operational efficiency, and long-term business sustainability.
What you will do:
Define and execute the financial strategy aligned with the business and property objectives
Act as a strategic partner to the General Manager and Executive Committee, supporting key business decisions
Provide financial analysis, scenarios, and business cases to support strategic decision-making
Lead the annual budgeting process, forecasting, and short- and long-term financial planning
Prepare and present accurate, clear, and insightful financial reports to Management, Ownership, and Corporate
Analyze financial performance and variances, identifying opportunities and implementing corrective actions
Oversee monthly financial closings, reconciliations, balance sheet controls, and financial reporting
Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements
Oversee tax management, including VAT, corporate taxes, and relevant financial filings
Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial information
Monitor cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and overall financial health of the business
Drive profitability by monitoring costs, margins, and operational performance
Evaluate investments, CapEx projects, and expected returns on investment (ROI)
Oversee the Procurement function, ensuring transparent, efficient, and cost-effective purchasing processes
Negotiate and validate key supplier contracts and commercial agreements
Implement effective financial controls to prevent fraud and ensure the efficient use of company resources
Oversee financial and operational systems, including ERP, PMS, POS, and Procurement platforms
Lead system implementations, migrations, and process improvement initiatives
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across financial and operational systems
Lead, develop, and motivate the Finance, Procurement, and relevant support teams
Establish clear structures, responsibilities, processes, and performance standards within the department
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement
Maintain strong relationships with Ownership, Asset Managers, banks, auditors, and other key stakeholders
Represent the hotel and company in financial matters with external partners and third parties
Lead the Finance function during pre-opening, opening, transitions, and other major business projects
Prepare business plans, feasibility studies, financial models, and investment analyses when required
Support strategic projects, acquisitions, expansions, and other special initiatives as needed
Ensure strong corporate governance, internal controls, transparency, and ethical financial practices

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
Significant experience in a senior finance leadership role, preferably within luxury hotels, hospitality, or lifestyle businesses
Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis
Solid understanding of accounting principles, taxation, cash flow management, and financial controls
Experience overseeing Procurement and financial or operational systems
Strong knowledge of ERP, PMS, POS, and other financial or hospitality systems
Previous experience managing and developing finance teams
Experience working with Ownership, Asset Managers, auditors, banks, and external stakeholders
Experience in hotel openings, pre-openings, transitions, or business projects is a strong plus
Excellent command of English and Spanish, both spoken and written
Additional languages are a plus
Valid EU / Spain work permit
