Job Description:
An opportunity for a Tools Development Engineer has arisen within Airbus Operations, Cádiz .
The selected candidate will join the Jigs & Tools department within the Manufacturing Engineering area . The team is responsible for driving innovation and maintaining high technical standards across tooling operations, research and technology (R&T) projects, and strategic industrial transfers .
The jobholder will be responsible for :
Leading requirements management: Analyze, assess, and formally accept Jigs and Tools (J&T) requests .
Providing technical leadership & supplier governance: Act as the primary engineering interface for external suppliers, leading technical down-selections and end-to-end performance follow-up .
Executing industrial documentation & quality assurance: Create Multi-Functional Team (MFT) documentation, validate Design and Manufacturing Data Sets, and orchestrate Manufacturing Acceptance with Plant/FAL Quality Assurance .
Defining lifecycle strategy: Establish technical requirements for tool maintenance, training, recertification, and re-calibration to ensure long-term reliability .
Managing operational integration: Ensure a seamless handover of fully compliant tooling to Operations .
Designing advanced engineering solutions: Develop innovative J&T solutions for new projects, R&T initiatives, and industrial transfers .

Education: Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline .
Experience: Extensive professional experience specifically working as a Jigs and Tools Engineer .
Soft skills: High adaptability to work in a networking mode, strong supplier management capabilities, and cross-functional leadership .
Languages: Advanced level in English.
Technical knowledge: Expertise in Jigs & Tools design/development, manufacturing engineering processes, and quality assurance standards .
