WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Plug and Play is seeking a detail-oriented Fund Operations Manager to manage the financial back-office for our U.S. venture capital funds. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day back-office financial operations, ensure seamless execution of fund workflows (capital calls, distributions, and valuations), and maintain rigorous oversight over third-party accounting and reporting deliverables for our US venture funds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Relationship & Ops Liaison: Serve as the primary operational point of contact for our third-party US fund administrator, holding them accountable to SLAs, accuracy, and reporting deadlines.
- Capital Activity Oversight: Coordinate capital calls, LP drawdowns, and distribution processes between internal deal teams, LPs, bank partners, and the fund administrator.
- Financial Reporting & NAV: Review quarterly/annual financial statements, NAV calculations, schedule of investments, and capital account statements prepared by the fund admin.
- Audit & Tax Coordination: Facilitate annual audits and Tax (K-1) preparation by serving as the central clearinghouse for docs between external auditors, tax advisors, and the fund administrator.
- Capitalization & Transaction Support: Assist deal teams with tracking cash movements for initial/follow-on investments, portfolio company valuations, and reconciling cap table data against financial records.
- Cash & Treasury Oversight: Monitor US fund bank balances, review wire instructions for startup investments, and track management fee calculations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience: 3–6 years in venture capital/private equity fund accounting, fund administration, or Big 4 financial services audit.- US Market Knowledge: Familiarity with US VC fund structures (LP/GP models, capital calls, waterfalls, K-1 tax workflows).
- Languages: Business fluency in English is required (verbal and written) as primary communications are with US vendors and management.
- Skills: High proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and fund administration software.
- Personal Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, comfort with remote management, and the ability to operate independently.
