Energiot is looking for a Production Engineer to join our team in Barcelona and support the industrialization, production ramp-up, and manufacturing execution of our self-powered IoT devices for electrical grid monitoring.
The person will act as the main link between product development, assemblers, suppliers, purchasing, quality, and operations. This role focuses on ensuring that production units are delivered on time, with the required quality, documentation, traceability, and cost control.
This is a hands-on position for someone comfortable managing suppliers, following up production tasks, controlling stock and materials, coordinating deadlines, detecting risks early, and escalating issues when needed. The role will be key to scaling Energiot's manufacturing capacity and supporting the delivery of hundreds of devices.
Coordinate production activities with external assemblers, suppliers, workshops, and manufacturing partners.
Follow up manufacturing timelines, delivery dates, supplier commitments, and production milestones.
Manage purchasing follow-up, quotations, order tracking, lead times, and delivery status.
Monitor stock levels, critical components, consumables, mechanical parts, electronic assemblies, and production materials.
Support the preparation and execution of production batches, validation units, and customer deliveries.
Ensure production documentation is complete, updated, and correctly used, including BOMs, assembly instructions, test procedures, quality checklists, and revision control.
Coordinate with hardware, firmware, mechanical, product, and operations teams to align production requirements with project deadlines.
Identify bottlenecks, supplier risks, quality issues, delays, missing materials, and process deviations.
Escalate production risks clearly and early, proposing practical actions to avoid delays or quality problems.
Support incoming inspection, production quality control, non-conformity tracking, and corrective actions.
Help improve production workflows, assembly processes, test procedures, quality gates, and traceability methods.
Support logistics, packaging, labeling, shipment preparation, and material coordination for field deployments when required.
Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or Advanced Vocational Training in Industrial Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Experience in production, manufacturing coordination, industrialization, operations, procurement, or supplier management.
Experience working with assemblers, suppliers, workshops, or manufacturing partners.
Experience in hardware product manufacturing, electronics assembly, IoT devices, industrial equipment, or similar technical products.
Ability to read and work with technical documentation such as BOMs, drawings, assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, specifications, and test procedures.
Good understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, stock management, production planning, and supplier follow-up.
Experience with incoming inspection, quality checklists, supplier non-conformities, and corrective action follow-up.
Basic knowledge of electronics, mechanical assemblies, cables, connectors, sensors, or embedded devices.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple suppliers, orders, deadlines, and priorities at the same time.
Ability to detect risks, follow up open issues, escalate blockers, and push tasks until completion.
Hands-on, proactive, structured, and highly autonomous mindset.
Strong communication skills with technical teams, suppliers, and non-technical stakeholders.
