The position is responsible for managing and ensuring the day-to-day land transport operations, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, service agreements and Neolith's internal policies and procedures. The role will also monitor transport-related developments that may have an impact on the Group and contribute to implementing best practices across transport operations. The position reports to the Transport Coordinator and works closely with internal teams such as Purchasing, Logistics, Back Office and Production, as well as with external transport providers.
Responsibilities

Manage and support the planning and execution of daily transport and loading requirements, ensuring an efficient and timely operation.
- Coordinate transport resources and work closely with subcontractors to ensure deliveries are made within agreed service levels and conditions.
- Ensure that all transport activities comply with applicable legislation, local governance, company policies and agreed service levels.
- Promote and ensure safe working practices at all times, ensuring incidents, hazards and near misses are reported promptly and accurately according to Neolith policies and procedures.
- Manage transport resources efficiently and cost-effectively, taking budget constraints into consideration and contributing to the optimization of transport costs.
- Maintain strong and sustainable relationships with internal and external customers, responding to queries and proactively resolving transport-related issues.
- Monitor daily transport activity and performance, preparing and reporting relevant KPIs to the Global Transport & Distribution Manager on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Identify operational issues and opportunities for improvement, contributing to the continuous improvement of transport processes and best practices.
Education & Experience

Higher Vocational Training (CFGS) in Transport and Logistics or a related field.
- The educational requirements will be waived for candidates with a minimum of one year of experience at Neolith or in a similar position.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an industrial and multinational environment.
- Previous experience in transport management and coordination.
- Experience working with transport providers, subcontractors and logistics operations.
Skills

- Knowledge of Transport Management Systems (TMS) and Yard Management Systems (YMS).
- Knowledge and experience using SAP.

- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively with different internal departments and external partners.
- Professional working proficiency in English (C1 level).
