QUALITY ENGINEER (Chemical Industrial Components Sector)
MISSION STATEMENT:
Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer’s mission is to ensure product and process quality within a chemical industrial environment through continuous improvement, robust problem solving, and strict compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. The role focuses on reducing non-conformities, improving process reliability, and reinforcing a strong quality culture across operations.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:
The Quality Engineer plays a key role in ensuring quality, process stability, and compliance within a chemical industrial setting. His/her responsibilities will include:
Continuous Improvement Projects:
Working on continuous improvement initiatives such as scrap reduction, process optimization, vision systems, and Nadcap-related activities in coordination with Process Engineers.
Standardization and Operational Excellence:
Collaborating with satellite plants and production teams to implement standardization plans, promoting a “right first time” culture, error-proofing systems, and a strong understanding of customer requirements.
Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis:
Leading root cause analysis of quality issues such as customer complaints, rejections, internal non-conformities, and scrap, ensuring implementation of effective corrective actions and validation of their effectiveness.
Preventive Actions & Best Practices:
Implementing preventive actions and ensuring the deployment and standardization of lessons learned and best practices across production lines.
Customer Claims Management:
Managing customer claims, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely, accurate, and professional responses to customers.
Training & Quality Culture:
Providing quality training to operators and new hires, reinforcing quality standards, safety awareness, and compliance within a chemical industrial environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 / EN9100 / NADCAP).
Knowledge of statistical tools and methodologies (Six Sigma, SPC, etc.).
Advanced level in data analysis tools/software.
High level of English (minimum B2).
Environmental, safety, and regulatory awareness in industrial/chemical environments.

SALARY:
Depending on the experience provided by the candidate (aligned with the industrial chemical sector market).
Flexible Timetable: Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. with an hour for lunch. Intensive day from June to September.
The workplace will be in Parla, the South area of MADRID.
