We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Junior Sales professional to join the Iberia & LATAM Distribution team in Madrid.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional (3–8 years of experience) who is passionate about financial markets and asset management and wants to develop a career in institutional and wholesale sales.
The successful candidate will support the sales team in developing relationships with institutional investors, private banks, wealth managers, distributors and family offices across Iberia and Latin America. The role offers significant exposure to client interactions, investment products, and international collaboration within UBP's Asset Management business.
Business Development & Sales Support
• Support the sales team in developing and maintaining relationships with institutional clients, private banks, wealth managers, family offices and other distribution partners across Iberia and LATAM.
• Assist in identifying new business opportunities and contribute to client acquisition initiatives.
• Prepare client presentations, marketing materials, meeting agendas and follow-up documentation.
• Coordinate client meetings, roadshows and industry events.
• Maintain CRM records and sales pipelines, ensuring accurate reporting of client activity.
• Support responses to RFIs, RFPs and due diligence questionnaires.
Client Relationship Management
• Build strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Deliver a high standard of client service.
• Work closely with Investment Specialists, Product Specialists, Marketing, Operations and Client Services.
• Participate in client meetings alongside senior sales colleagues and progressively take ownership of selected relationships.
Market Intelligence
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments.
• Assist in identifying sales opportunities and new market segments.
• Contribute ideas to improve sales initiatives and client engagement.
Essential Experience
• 3–8 years of experience in Asset Management, Private Banking, Wealth Management or Financial Services.
• Previous experience in sales support, business development, client relationship management or distribution is preferred.
• Strong interest in investment markets and asset management.
• Good understanding of investment products including mutual funds, fixed income, equities and multi-asset solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, organisational and Microsoft Office skills.
Education
• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related discipline.
• CFA or CAIA progress is an advantage.
Languages
• Fluent Spanish and professional English.
• Portuguese is a strong advantage.
