Your position
Commercial Excellence Platforms is the technical team within Commercial Excellence & CPQ. We develop and operate the global CPQ solution, the pricing engine and their supporting integrations and data flows. In this role, you will focus on the technical configuration and day-to-day maintenance of the CPQ platform. Business-side CPQ colleagues lead process requirements, commercial scenarios, user acceptance and adoption; you will turn agreed needs into reliable platform changes and help keep the solution running. You will begin with well-defined changes and gradually take ownership of selected platform areas. Your work will help deliver tested configuration changes, stable day-to-day operation and alignment between CPQ and connected systems. As your experience grows, you will take ownership of selected platform components.
Your tasks
- Implementing and maintaining well-defined CPQ configuration, such as product and solution models, validation rules, pricing inputs, approval workflows, quote templates and user roles.
- Maintaining and validating reference data and configuration dependencies so that platform behaviour remains consistent and explainable.
- Working with business CPQ colleagues to translate agreed process requirements into configuration designs, acceptance criteria and manageable technical changes.
- Taking part in peer review, testing and releases across development, test and production environments, and gradually assumed ownership of selected configuration releases.
- Monitoring day-to-day platform operation, investigating incidents and recurring defects, document findings and coordinating escalation or corrective action when needed.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or a related field
- Several years of practical experience in at least one transferable area, such as application support, system or process configuration, business analysis, QA/testing, master data, commercial operations, CRM/ERP or substantial related project work
- Familiarity with Git, SQL, APIs, JSON, automated testing or scripting is beneficial, but none of these tools is an entry requirement
- Comfort learning configuration-driven systems and understanding how process, configuration and data fit together. Direct CPQ experience is not required; exposure to CPQ, CRM, ERP, pricing or workflows is an advantage
- Ability to investigate system behaviour, make controlled changes, test results and document what changed
