ICFO invites outstanding postdoctoral researchers from around the world to connect with ICFO Group Leaders (GLs) and co develop competitive proposals for the Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships.
This call aims to match excellent candidates with leading ICFO research groups and projects, fostering strong, jointly designed fellowship proposals for submission to the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships programme.

Interested candidates should identify an ICFO research group of interest, review the corresponding research lines, and submit a brief outline of a proposed research project.
Who should apply?
Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria of the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships, including:
- A PhD degree awarded at the time of the MSCA deadline
- A maximum of 8 years of research experience post PhD (with eligible extensions)
- Compliance with mobility rules (not having resided or carried out main activity in Spain for more than 12 months in the last 36 months prior to the deadline of the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships call)

- Brief statement of motivation for applying with ICFO
- Indication of preferred ICFO research group to be specified in the application form. Please note that applications will be considered only for the research group specified in the proposed research project.

Shortlisted candidates will be connected with suitable ICFO GLs to
co-develop the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship proposal.
IMPORTANT: Please note that candidates who wish to obtain an MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship must submit their proposal directly through EURAXESS, the official European portal for researcher mobility. The official European Commission call deadline is September 9, 2026.
Early applications are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time for proposal development.
The deadline of the call is August 6, 2026.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the call deadline. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application, and all final confirmation emails will be sent within 15 days of the call’s closing date.
