This position will report to the site PPL DIGITAL HW Manager.
Mission:
- Understanding of technical requirements and definition of technical solutions.

Digital Electronics design for on-board units (based on FPGAs and microprocessors).

Understanding of technical requirements and definition of technical solutions.

Preparation of design documentation

Schematics capture in Mentor xDesigner

Analog/digital electronics simulations

Signal integrity simulations in Hyperlynx, ADS, Ansys or similar

Review of post layout/placement activities

Review of PCB routing

Preparation of board-level tests procedure

Internal or customer Design Reviews

Support in validation and acceptance campaigns.

Education:
-
Engineering Master, preferably Electronics with firm background in digital electronic design.

Experience in (minimum 6 years) Digital electronics design: communication buses, memories (DDR2, DDR4, NOR Flash), FPGAs, Microprocessors…

Knowledge of design tools: LTspice, Simplix/Simetrix, OrCAD, …

Experience with High-Speed digital links (>1Gbps). Simulations, routing guidelines, VITA Standard…

Valued experience working with FPGAs like Kintex Ultrascale, PolarFire, RTG4, RTAX and RISC-V based microprocessors.

Valued knowledge of space normative (ECSS) and electronics interfaces standard.
