Flanks is shaking up the wealth management industry by making it simpler and way more efficient for financial institutions. Our SaaS platform is designed to help banks, family offices, and wealth managers get a full picture of their clients' financial assets—all in one place.
Founded in 2019 and based in Barcelona, we've brought together a team of passionate wealth management and tech pros, all with a shared goal: to change how wealth management is done. Backed by €23 million in investment, we're growing fast, and we're not stopping anytime soon!
What we stand for:
People First – our team comes first. We want every Flanker to feel at home, engaged, and part of something bigger.
Keep Growing – as the company grows, so should you. We're all about personal and professional development here.
Think Twice, Act Once – we believe in thoughtful decisions, considering the impact on both our team and our clients before taking action.
If you're looking for a place where you can grow and make an impact at a fast-paced, exciting fintech startup, this might just be the place for you!
As our new FP&A and Accounting Specialist, you'll take full ownership of Flanks' day-to-day accounting operations — from monthly closings and tax filings to financial reporting — while laying the groundwork for our internal FP&A function. You'll report to our Head of Finance and work closely with People, Sales, and AP to keep our numbers accurate and our reporting sharp. It's a hands-on role for someone ready to grow from pure accounting into forward-looking financial planning as Flanks keeps scaling.
Here's what you can expect to work on:
Apply Spanish GAAP (PGC) to accounting, bank reconciliations, and monthly closings, reviewing and approving transactions to keep internal controls tight.
Run the end-to-end monthly closing process and consolidate costs to meet Finance team deadlines.
Prepare and file taxes (IVA, retenciones, Sociedades, etc.), keeping us fully compliant locally.
Own the financial reporting plan and lead preparation of financial statements and management reports.
Monitor financial performance against budget and contribute to FP&A processes and forecasting.
Interact directly with clients and investors to troubleshoot billing issues and resolve financial queries.
3+ years of professional experience in accounting or as a Financial Controller, ideally at a fast-growing scale-up, a Big 4 firm, or an accounting firm.
A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
In-depth knowledge of IFRS and/or Spanish GAAP (PGC).
Advanced Excel/Sheets skills.
Experience with ODOO or another ERP and hands-on tax filing experience (Modelos 111, 303, 200) — a plus.
Comfortable using AI and automation tools to streamline financial processes — a plus.
Language Proficiency: Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish to collaborate effectively in our bilingual environment ️.
If this sounds like you, don't worry if you don't check every single box—we'll support your growth along the way.
Salary range: €27,000–€35,000 gross/year.
A full-time, permanent contract.
A cool office between Sants Estació and Plaça Espanya with stunning views of Barcelona. ️
Flexible working hours and hybrid work options.
Paid day off on your birthday.
Weekly fresh fruit, coffee, and tea on tap.
Friday happy hours after our all-hands meetings (totally optional, of course!).

We send you an offer!
We aim to keep things moving fast—ideally wrapping things up in one to four weeks.
If this sounds like a good fit for you, we'd love to hear from you. Don't hesitate to send us your CV and/or cover letter. ️
