Job Description:
Alantra Asset Management is seeking to hire a Vice President to join its Business Development & Capital Raising team in Madrid.
This professional will play a key role in the execution of the firm’s fundraising strategy across Alantra Asset Management’s full range of alternative investment products and strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and investment teams to strengthen existing investor relationships, identify new fundraising opportunities, and support the continued international expansion of the platform.
The role requires a commercially driven professional with strong experience in asset management business development, institutional fundraising, and investor relationship management within private markets and alternative investments.
- Support and execute capital raising initiatives across Alantra Asset Management’s investment strategies and products.
- Contribute to the fundraising strategy for existing and new investment vehicles.
- Identify and develop relationships with institutional investors and intermediary channels across Europe and other relevant markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with family offices, private banks, pension funds, insurance companies, and other allocators.
- Coordinate investor follow-ups, meetings, and fundraising processes alongside senior members of the team.
- Expand and consolidate Alantra’s investor network internationally.
- Monitor market trends, fundraising dynamics, and asset allocation developments within private markets and alternative investments.
- Work closely with investment and product teams on the preparation of marketing materials, investor presentations, and fundraising documentation.
- Collaborate with investment teams, Investor Relations, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operations, and Strategy teams across the organization.
- Represent Alantra Asset Management externally in meetings, conferences, and industry events.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience within Asset Management Capital Raising, Fund Distribution, Institutional Sales, Private Banking and/or Private Markets Business Development.
- Strong understanding of alternative investments and private markets.
- Existing network and exposure to institutional investors and/or intermediary channels.
- Proven experience working in fundraising and investor coverage environments.
- Strong commercial and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive attitude.
- Ability to work in an international and fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Fluent English is essential; additional European languages are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Master’s degree and/or CFA qualification would be considered a plus.
