Tasks & Responsabilities
Support the global operation, administration of Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management and related processes in alignment with applicable regulatory, data privacy, and internal governance requirements.
Continuous improvement and optimizing of IRM policies and related processes, including indicators, thresholds, escalation paths, and maintaining/updating documentation.
Maintain confidentiality safeguards and ensure auditability for IRM-related activities and case information.
Coordinate across Legal, Compliance, Human Resources, IT Security, and other business stakeholders to align IRM processes with approved governance standards.
Monitor, triage, and document IRM alerts and cases in accordance with approved procedures, and collaborate with authorized teams on escalations.
Support follow-up investigation workflows arising from IRM alerts, including evidence collection and analysis of technical log files and other relevant data sources.
Prepare recurring metrics, reports, and status updates on alert trends, case volumes, process effectiveness, and improvement opportunities.
Drive testing, validation, change management, and user readiness for new or updated IRM policies, features, and operating procedures.
Skills & Experience
Experience with Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management, Microsoft 365 compliance solutions, or comparable insider risk or data protection platforms.
Understanding of insider risk management concepts, including risk indicators, policy configuration, alert triage, case management, escalation workflows and audit-ready documentation.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 workloads and signals, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, and endpoint-related activity, as they relate to insider risk scenarios.
Strong understanding of privacy-by-design, proportionality, responsible investigation practices, and confidentiality controls (e.g. least privilege, role-based access controls).
High discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive employee-related matters and confidential case information.
Ability to coordinate across global teams and manage multiple stakeholders in time-critical contexts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on documentation accuracy, process discipline, and quality of work products.
Strong ownership of assigned topics, combined with a proactive and self-directed working style.
Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
Familiarity with eDiscovery or Digital Forensic processes is beneficial, particularly for matters that may require escalation to adjacent IT Legal capabilities.
