About the role
As a ROC Technical Lead, you support the safe and efficient operation of advanced offshore wind assets from a remote operations center. You play a key role across both commissioning and service phases, helping ensure turbines perform reliably throughout their lifecycle.
You work closely with site teams and engineering experts to detect, analyze, and resolve technical issues, ensuring stable operations and continuous improvement.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will:
Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
Support reporting and communication of technical findings
Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays
What you bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in the wind energy sector
Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments
Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations
Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication, calm structured approach under pressure, and a collaborative, proactive mindset
Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
Fluent English (spoken and written), willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.
Nice to have
Control room or remote operations experience
Offshore wind or commissioning experience
Exposure to advanced turbine control systems (e.g., MarkVIe or similar)
Experience working in multicultural teams
Fluent in Spanish (spoken and written)
Ways of working
You work on a rotating weekday shift schedule (Monday to Friday), covering morning and afternoon shifts.
You also take part in an on-call rotation for occasional weekend and public holiday support.
