We strive to make cities the best ever places to live, by advancing an industry that moves over 1 billion people each day. We are transforming our business by driving the industry norm and challenging ourselves, fostering a culture of internal and external collaboration, and building on our unique engineering capabilities to optimize existing and create new products and solutions for our customers that cater to real mobility needs.
Who we are
TK Elevator (TKE) is a global leader in vertical transportation and urban mobility. We provide engineering that keeps the world moving, including design, installation, and maintenance of elevators, escalators, walkways, lifts, passenger boarding bridges, stairlifts, platform lifts and home elevators – including multi-brand modernization and service any place, any time. With TK Elevator’s AI and digital solutions there are no longer any limits to urban mobility. TK Elevator became independent following its separation from the thyssenkrupp group in 2020. The company achieved sales of €9.2 billion in fiscal year 2024/2025. With around 50,000 employees, 25,000 service technicians and over 1,000 support centers globally, we are moved by what moves people. TKE – Move Beyond.
What we expect
As a (Senior) Global Product Owner (d/f/m), you’ll own one of TKE’s most strategic digital service products end-to-end - a real end-to-end product combining dedicated hardware, cloud backend, and user frontends. You own the “WHAT”: vision, roadmap, business case, rollouts and go-to-market, working in a WHAT/HOW tandem with the Technical Product Owner across multiple domains.
- Product Vision, Roadmap & Narrative: Maintain a coherent roadmap across hardware and software cycles. Own the dual narrative: initial use case as entry door, digital platform as long-term strategic value.
- Product Ownership & Strategic Prioritization: Own the product backlog in tandem with the TPO. Set strategic priorities, make trade-off decisions, ensure development aligns with product vision and business objectives.
- Product Scope Protection & Scaling: Scale into new markets and use cases while protecting the standardized scope. Say “no” to unnecessary customizations; steer required adaptations (regulatory, infrastructure, localization).
- Business Case & Commercial Ownership: Build, own, and defend business cases per market (unit economics, investment rationale) towards senior management and BU Heads.
- Stakeholder Management & Escalation Handling: Manage peer-level relationships across domains. Withstand escalations from BU Heads on scope decisions — hold the line while maintaining the relationship.
- Project Product Transformation: Convert the current project-driven approach into a scalable product organization with repeatable processes and roadmap-driven cadence.
- Go-to-Market & Enablement: Coordinate enablement across field, training, and BU organizations per market launch. Navigate positioning vs. legacy alternatives.
Who we are looking for
- Product Leadership: 5+ years in product management, program leadership, or consulting in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Track record with digital or hybrid (HW+SW) products, or international rollouts. Project product transformation experience a strong plus.
- Product Management Craft: Hands-on with strategic backlog ownership, roadmap management, and prioritization decisions. Operates at both the strategic (vision, trade-offs) and operational (backlog, acceptance criteria) level.
- MVP Discipline & Escalation Resilience: Has protected product standardization against customization pressure at scale. Has held the line against senior stakeholders with data-driven argumentation - as a sustained discipline, not a one-time event.
- Business Case & Data-Driven Decisions: Has built and defended business cases and investment rationales towards senior management. Uses market data and operational metrics to prioritize. Speaks commercial impact, not just features.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Orchestrates across regions and domains without direct authority. Effective from field technicians to C-level. Fluent English mandatory;
- Technical Product Understanding: Comfortable with technical discussions around cloud, APIs, IoT, or embedded systems. HW-SW product experience (production, certification, OTA) beneficial but not required.
