What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Capital Markets Business Analyst with experience in Corporate & Investment Banking, strong knowledge of financial products and trade lifecycle processes, and the ability to translate business needs into clear functional requirements.
Experience with SQL, Agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence is required, along with excellent English communication skills.
Knowledge of FX, FX Options, trading platforms, and AI-driven productivity tools will be highly valued.
This is a 100% remote position from Spain for a leading banking sector client.
MANDATORY SKILLS:
At least 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, Product Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role.
Experience in financial services, ideally within Corporate and Investment Banking, Markets, Post Trade, Operations, Risk, Treasury, or front-to-back platforms.
Strong knowledge of financial instruments and trade lifecycle concepts.
Practical understanding of at least some of the following asset classes: derivatives, fixed income, money markets, equities, FX, FX options, repos, securities lending, or structured products.
Ability to analyse complex financial products and translate them into business requirements, mappings, rules, examples, and acceptance criteria.
Experience producing functional specifications, business rules, data mappings, test scenarios, UAT materials, and production validation evidence.
Good data analysis skills using SQL and Excel.
Experience working with development teams, QA teams, product owners, and business stakeholders.
Experience using Jira, Confluence, and Agile/Scrum ways of working.
Proficient spoken and written English.
Curiosity and practical experience using AI tools to improve productivity, analysis, documentation, or automation.
Nice to Have Skills:
Deep knowledge of FX and FX Options, including FX spot, forwards, swaps, vanilla options, FLEX options, pricing sources, hedging flows, and front-office trading concepts.
Experience with trading, post-trade, or market platforms such as Murex, Calypso, DTCC, Icelink, OMS, Reuters Electronic Trading, FXall, or similar.
Experience with confirmations, matching, reconciliations, P&L controls, accounting flows, or regulatory processes.
Experience with Kafka, event-driven architectures, APIs, JSON, Avro, or Schema Registry.
Experience with Elasticsearch, Kibana, BDD, Gherkin, or test case design.
Knowledge of market standards or data models such as ISDA, FpML, ISO 20022, FIX, or internal front-to-back trading models.
Basic knowledge of Spanish or willingness to work in a multilingual environment.
Automation mindset, including experience identifying manual BA, testing, documentation, or reconciliation tasks that can be improved through AI, scripting, templates, or tooling.
