The Team
A&M's Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory (CMAA) practice advises clients on complex accounting and financial reporting matters associated with transformational events, strategic transactions, and capital markets activities. Our professionals work with private equity funds, multinational corporates, and CFO organizations across a broad range of projects including transaction accounting, carve-outs, IPO readiness, finance transformation, integration and separation advisory, and technical accounting matters.
The Spain CMAA team is a strategic growth platform within A&M's Global Transaction Advisory Group (TAG). The practice benefits from strong collaboration across Transactions, Restructuring, Performance Improvement, and Operational Due Diligence teams, creating a differentiated and highly entrepreneurial client offering. How you will contribute
As a Director within the CMAA team, you will lead complex client engagements, manage senior stakeholder relationships, and contribute to the continued growth and development of the Spain practice. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality advisory services while driving business development initiatives and mentoring junior professionals.
Key responsibilities will include:

Leading complex accounting advisory and transaction-related engagements for corporates and private equity clients

Advising CFOs and finance leadership teams on transaction accounting, carve-outs, IPO readiness, financial reporting, and finance transformation matters

Managing multiple client engagements and overseeing project delivery, quality, timelines, and profitability

Reviewing and challenging technical accounting analyses, financial reporting conclusions, and client deliverables

Developing and maintaining senior-level client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor

Collaborating with senior leadership across A&M practices to identify and pursue cross-functional opportunities

Supporting and leading business development activities including proposals, pitches, networking, and market positioning initiatives

Coaching, mentoring, and developing junior team members while contributing to a high-performance and collaborative culture

Contributing to the strategic growth and expansion of the Spain CMAA platform
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field

8+ years of relevant experience within a Big 4 accounting advisory practice, transaction services, or consulting environment

Deep expertise in IFRS and transaction-related accounting matters

Significant experience advising clients on carve-outs, IPO readiness, transaction accounting, and finance transformation projects

CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred

Proven ability to manage senior client relationships and lead complex engagements

Strong commercial acumen and business development capabilities

Excellent project management and leadership skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English
