Position Overview
We are seeking a talented CFD Software Engineer to join our Simcenter STAR-CCM+ team. In this role, you'll develop and enhance cutting-edge computational fluid dynamics software that powers thermal and battery simulation solutions for global manufacturers. You'll collaborate with a talented team of engineers, contribute to innovative features, and help shape the future of simulation technology that impacts industries worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize CFD algorithms and numerical methods for thermal and battery simulation applications- Design and implement software features that enhance simulation accuracy and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into robust technical solutions
- Conduct code reviews, testing, and validation to ensure high-quality software delivery
- Participate in technical documentation and knowledge sharing with the broader engineering team
- Troubleshoot complex simulation issues and provide technical support to customers and internal teams
Qualifications
Required:
Strong background in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) or numerical simulation methods- Proficiency in C++ or similar object-oriented programming languages
- Experience with software development practices, version control, and testing frameworks
- Solid understanding of thermal physics, heat transfer, or fluid mechanics principles
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
Preferred:
Experience with STAR-CCM+ or similar commercial CFD software- Knowledge of battery thermal management or energy storage systems
- Experience with parallel computing or high-performance computing (HPC)
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies

Compensation & Benefits
The primary locations for this opportunity are Belgium, Greece, Romania, and Spain. The applicable salary ranges for these locations are:
Belgium: €61,500 to €110,700- Greece: €32,100 to €64,200
- Romania: 186,000 RON to 353,300 RON
- Spain: €52,100 to €83,300
This role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
