The Principal Analyst – Expense Lead, EMEA & APAC is a key finance role within the Central FP&A team supporting MiniMed’s International (EMEA & APAC) Region. This individual will serve as the primary owner of Operating Expense (OpEx) management, building advanced analytics, ensuring cost discipline, and setting the forecast process across the EMEA and APAC regions.
The role requires a highly analytical, proactive finance professional who can operate independently, partner cross-functionally with Controllership, and drive continuous improvements in expense analytics, reporting automation, and financial insights delivery.
The ideal candidate demonstrates the ability to seamlessly shift between strategic, helicopter-view thinking and granular detail, moving fluidly from high-level financial narrative to deep analytical investigation and back—ensuring both the big picture and the underlying numbers are always well understood and accurately represented.

Key Responsibilities:
OpEx Ownership & Cost Discipline
Own end-to-end Operating Expense planning, forecasting, and variance analysis for EMEA & APAC regions.
Maintain a strong culture of cost discipline by monitoring spend trends, identifying risks and opportunities, and proactively escalating material variances.
Develop and maintain monthly and quarterly expense reporting packages for senior leadership in collaboration with the FP&A Center of Excellence.
Partner with regional finance teams to ensure accurate and timely expense submissions.
Act as Finance Partner for the Commercial Functions in the region (Marketing, Customer Care, Product Support, etc.).
Forecasting & Planning
Lead monthly rolling forecasts and annual operating plan (AOP) processes for EMEA & APAC OpEx.
Provide scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling to support decision-making.
Ensure alignment between headcount plans and related expense forecasts.
Support long-range planning activities as required.
Controllership Partnership
Serve as the primary FP&A liaison to the Controllership team on month-end and quarter-end close activities.
Deliver timely close insights, including actual vs. forecast commentary and driver-based explanations.
Ensure accounting accuracy and completeness by reviewing accruals, reclassifications, and journal entries in collaboration with Controllership.
Support audit and compliance activities as needed.
Pune CoE – Analytics & Process Leadership
Drive the expense analytics agenda for the Pune FP&A Center of Excellence.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and speed of financial reporting.
Lead automation initiatives leveraging tools such as Power BI, OneStream, Excel/VBA, or other relevant platforms.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and go-to resource for expense-related queries within the CoE.
Mentor junior analysts and support capability building.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
6+ years of progressive FP&A or finance experience.
Experience supporting multi-country regions and matrix organizations.
Advanced Excel skills, financial modeling expertise, and proficiency in Power BI or equivalent BI tools.
Experience with OneStream, SAP, Hyperion, or similar EPM/ERP platforms.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA, CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification.
Experience in a Global Center of Excellence (CoE) or Shared Services environment.
Proven track record of leading automation or process improvement projects in finance.
Experience in the MedTech, Healthcare, or Life Sciences industry.
