Job Description
We are looking to hire a Junior Hydraulics & Drainage Engineer to join our growing Madrid team delivering assessments, concepts, feasibility studies, and detailed designs across diverse water and transportation programs.
We partner with public and private clients, including long‑term frameworks with Local Authorities and Design & Build commissions with major contractors.
Our global group has delivered water designs across the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and beyond, giving you the chance to contribute to iconic Transportation and Water projects alongside a diverse, multicultural Enterprise Capabilities team.
Collaborate with experienced designers and engineers in the delivery of drainage, stormwater, sewer, and potable water network projects, contributing to solutions that support sustainable and resilient communities.
- Develop network designs, technical drawings, and engineering models using Civil 3D and industry-leading design tools, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of infrastructure projects.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks while working within a supportive team environment, following established methodologies and receiving guidance from experienced professionals to accelerate your development.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of your work through self-checks prior to submission, while actively participating in peer reviews and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone passionate about water engineering and eager to continue developing their technical expertise in a collaborative and innovative environment.
At least, more than 2 years of experience in hydraulic and drainage design, infrastructure networks, or related engineering projects.
Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D, including the development of pipeline alignments, profiles, cross-sections, grading, and surface modelling.
Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken, with the confidence to collaborate within multicultural and international project teams.
Exposure to hydraulic and hydrological modelling tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, InfoWorks ICM, OpenRoads Designer, or 12d. Experience with any of these platforms is an advantage, but a willingness to learn and grow with new technologies is equally important.
A mindset of continuous learning and adopting best practices is highly valued. Ideally you are proactive, and enthusiastic about tackling engineering challenges, learning from experienced professionals, and contributing to projects that make a positive impact on communities and the environment.
