We are seeking a Technical Service & Development Engineer to join our EMEA Technical Service & Development team and play a pivotal role in supporting customers, driving innovation, and expanding the application of ion exchange technologies across Europe.
In this highly visible, customer-facing role, you will combine technical expertise with commercial collaboration to provide application support, develop innovative solutions, generate performance data, and help customers optimize their processes. You will work closely with commercial teams, customers, OEMs, consultants, and industry stakeholders to position our technologies as the preferred choice in the market.

What You'll Do
Become a subject matter expert in ion exchange resin technologies, providing technical leadership and guidance to customers, commercial teams, and business partners.
Support customers throughout the project lifecycle by selecting appropriate products, running process simulations, optimizing system designs, and resolving operational challenges.
Deliver technical consultancy and post-sales support to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.
Identify and develop new application opportunities, documenting customer insights and contributing to innovation initiatives.
Design and execute laboratory and field trials to validate product performance, benchmark competitive solutions, and generate technical data supporting product positioning and qualification.
Partner with account managers on customer visits, engaging with key customers, OEMs, engineering firms, consultants, and brand owners across the region.
Collaborate with commercial and marketing teams to develop technical engagement strategies and action plans that support business growth and strengthen market positioning.
Develop and deliver technical presentations, workshops, webinars, customer seminars, and training programs.
Conduct feasibility studies, analyze quality data, and recommend treatment technologies, operating conditions, and system configurations to achieve desired outcomes.
Create and maintain technical documentation, application notes, case studies, and customer success stories.
Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer needs, providing insights that support regional business strategies and growth initiatives.
Ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and technical excellence in all activities.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline.
5 years of experience in Technical Service, Technical Sales, Application Engineering, Project Management, or similar roles within the water treatment industry.
Strong understanding of Ion Exchange Resin technologies and their application in industrial water treatment and process industries.
Experience in system optimization, troubleshooting, process evaluation, and pilot testing.
Customer-centric mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence technical decision-making.
Strong analytical, digital, and data interpretation skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional local language capabilities are highly valued.
Willingness to travel up to 25% across the EMEA region.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multicultural, and fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with water reuse, advanced water treatment, and sustainable water management applications.
Knowledge of process design, operation, troubleshooting, engineering, and manufacturing of water treatment systems.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve resin and system performance challenges.
Project management experience, including planning, execution, and cross-functional coordination of technical projects.
Proficiency in a second European language.
