You develop and extend HIVEconnect, our ETL broker that maps HL7 FHIR R4 resources into openEHR Compositions using the openFHIR mapping engine and persists them in EHRbase.
You design and implement new additional FHIR resource types (Observation, Procedure, Encounter, Medication, etc.) and its respective ETL.
You contribute to the HIVEPRO Portal backend (Spring Boot REST API), implementing new endpoints for cohort management, query handling, and researcher project workflows.
You write test automation (JUnit 5, Mockito, etc.) and contribute to improving quality and the CI/CD test suite (GitHub Actions).
You participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and help maintain clean abstractions across a multi-module Java codebase.
You work with the DevOps team to containerize and deploy your services (Docker, Helm, Kubernetes) and ensure your services are observable: structured logging, metrics endpoints, and appropriate health probes.
You engage with healthcare data standards (FHIR, openEHR) and collaborate with clinical informatics specialists to ensure correct semantic mappings.
You help evolve the system's data model: writing schema migrations, reviewing schema changes, and keeping PostgreSQL performance in check.
