VeraContent is a multilingual content marketing agency based in Madrid, working with leading international organizations across Europe. We specialize in editorial strategy, content creation and creative translation.
We are hiring a full-time Content Manager to work exclusively as a dedicated specialist for one of our key clients, a leading international university based in Madrid. You will be embedded within the university’s content team, with your day-to-day work coordinated by the client.
The role combines hands-on content creation with structural thinking: not just producing excellent copy, but helping build the content architecture and discoverability foundations for the university’s digital presence. SEO, GEO, LLM visibility and marketing analytics are central to how this team approaches content from the outset of every project.
The desired start date is Sept 1, 2026.
- Write and edit high-quality content across multiple formats: web copy, scripts, infographics, long-form articles, institutional communications and campaign copy
- Take full ownership of assigned content initiatives from brief through to publication, managing timelines and stakeholder input independently
- Apply SEO and GEO best practices from the start of every project, and use marketing analytics to track performance and inform strategy
- Use AI and automation tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Notion) to streamline workflows and support production efficiency and contribute to AI-assisted content workflows, while ensuring all published content meets rigorous editorial standards
- Edit and proofread content from teammates and external contributors, maintaining editorial standards and institutional voice
- Three or more years of professional content or editorial experience
- Demonstrated SEO experience, applied to content strategy
- Hands-on experience with marketing analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Search Console) and comfort translating data into content decisions
- Professional experience using AI writing tools, with strong editorial judgment and experience contributing to AI-assisted workflows
- Excellent written English across multiple formats, audiences, and tones
- Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects, and communicate proactively with client and agency stakeholders
- Professional-level Spanish
- Experience in higher education or a related sector (business, law, technology, architecture, design, social sciences)
- Familiarity with LLM discoverability (GEO) concepts
- Experience with content audits, information architecture or structured content strategy
This is a full-time position with VeraContent, based in Madrid. The role requires on-site presence at the university’s Madrid offices at least two days per week and attendance at a standing weekly team meeting.
The role reports to VeraContent’s Head of Project Management for operational and HR support, while day-to-day coordination on content projects is handled directly with the client.
