Kings College School Soto de Viñuelas is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed part-time Secondary Teacher of Science (Biology) to join our vibrant and successful Science Department.
This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring teacher who is passionate about Biology and committed to providing an outstanding learning experience for students.
- Teach Biology and Science across the secondary age range, as appropriate to experience and timetable requirements.
- Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and appropriately differentiated lessons.
- Inspire students to develop a strong understanding and enthusiasm for Biology and the wider sciences.
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress in line with school expectations.
- Establish positive relationships with students and maintain high expectations for achievement and behaviour.
- Contribute to curriculum development and the continued development of the Science Department.
- Holds a recognised teaching qualification and has relevant experience teaching Science/Biology at secondary level.
- Has a strong subject knowledge in Biology and a genuine enthusiasm for the subject.
- Fluency in English is a must.
- Is an excellent and reflective classroom practitioner.
- Can engage, challenge and inspire students of differing abilities.
- Has high expectations of student achievement and behaviour.
