A Snapshot of Your Day
Join us as the Health & Safety (H&S) Manager on site in Castellon or Alcudia (Mallorca), where you will play a crucial role in managing and ensuring the implementation of health and safety activities throughout the project. You’ll collaborate closely with diverse teams, including management, engineering, and commissioning, to coordinate all aspects of health and safety. Imagine providing technical expertise and guidance at every stage of the project life cycle while leading the site team in H&S initiatives. You will be the primary point of contact for the customer regarding all health and safety matters, ensuring compliance and effective communication across all teams involved.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will advise on the implementation of H&S procedures and assist where necessary.
- Ensure and control the reviews of H&S Plans submitted by other parties working on site.
- Coordinate H&S measures taken by other parties working in succession or concurrently on the work site.
- Ensure compliance with decisions made during safety meetings and inspections, particularly those from regular safety meetings.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with other parties on site, ensuring their personnel are trained to meet project management requirements.
- Develop a system to measure the effectiveness of H&S systems and ensure requirements are communicated throughout the workforce.
- Stop any work where imminent danger to personnel or the environment exists until hazards are mitigated.
- Review incident investigation reports and ensure personnel training in H&S matters.
- Compile and report H&S statistics to project management and the customer.
- Support the commissioning team to ensure safe facilitation of commissioning activities.
What You Bring
- You are trained as a Senior Technician in occupational risk prevention.
- You possess solid knowledge of occupational risk prevention and applicable legislation.
- You have strong analytical skills to identify and evaluate occupational risks effectively.
- Your excellent communication skills enable you to convey risk prevention information clearly to workers and teams.
- You are results-oriented, with the ability to implement preventive measures effectively.
- You can communicate effectively in both written and spoken English and Spanish.
- You have at least 5 years of proven experience in occupational risk prevention, particularly in energy projects.
- You are trained in electrical risk, working at height, first aid, emergency response, and confined spaces.
