Job Description / Scope of Work:
1. Business Development & Commercial Operations
· Market Analysis & Intelligence: Continuously monitoring the Spanish dental market (specifically in restorative and endodontic materials and equipment) and identifying new sales and partnership opportunities.
· Network & Partnership Development: Building and maintaining effective relationships with dental clinics, dental schools/universities, local distributors, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in Madrid and across Spain.
· Commercial Negotiations: Leading contractual, sales, and dealership/distributorship negotiations with a strong commercial mindset to ensure maximum profitability for the company.
2. Quality Assurance & Vendor Oversight
· Oversight of QA/QC Contractors: Directing and supervising the performance of third-party quality assurance engineering firms contracted to oversee quality control, ISO standards (e.g., ISO 13485), and medical device compliance.
· Technical Product Compliance: Leveraging biomedical/dental engineering knowledge to ensure restorative and endodontic products comply with Spanish and European Union regulatory standards (including MDR).
3. Administrative & Office Operations (Madrid Office)
· Contract Management: Drafting, tracking, and archiving commercial, purchasing, sales, and after-sales service contracts.
· Administrative Coordination: Managing the day-to-day operations of the Madrid office and handling official correspondence with government authorities or business partners in both Spanish and English.
Qualifications / Requirements:
· Education: Currently pursuing or holding a degree in Dentistry, Biomedical Engineering, or related life sciences disciplines. (An MBA or a degree in Business Administration is considered a significant advantage).
· Languages: Full professional proficiency in Spanish (for local and administrative interactions) and English (for international communications).
· Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience in commercial operations or market development within dental/medical device companies.
· Skills:
· Familiarity with European medical device regulatory affairs and quality engineering standards.
· Strong negotiation skills and excellent interpersonal/public relations capabilities.
· In-depth knowledge of the dental market landscape and relevant brands.
