PLI works in tandem with Mercedes-AMG engineers to co-design the V6 hybrid Formula One engine and develops fuels, lubricants and functional fluids that power the Silver Arrows.
Key Accountabilities:
1. To manage the quality control lab staff
2. To approve/reject production and raw materials
3. To define corrections for production batches off spec. (by lab blending study or historical trend)
4. To support QC Lab Manager Europe on Lab Meeting, internal audit and providing QC Lab metrics
5. To monitor production control analysis, including RFT calculation
6. To edit and review of all laboratory procedures and working instructions
7. To identify/provide training in case of updating test method and new equipment
8. To train the new QC Laboratory Technician
9.To Subcontract for maintenance/calibration equipment according to yearly plan
10.To verify the internal verification plan laboratory measuring instruments
11.To manage MSA (Measurement System Analysis) & Lab Statistics
12.Management of technical documentation according to internal/global requirements (ISO/TS 16949, VDA 6.3, PIAQA), for instance CoA and shelf life declaration
13.To guarantee the compliance with company HSSE policy, and support HSEQ department for root causes identification
14.To manage Lab expenses (consumables) and to propose investments
Minimum degree (Bachelor of Science or higher) in Technical discipline (Chemistry or Engineering is preferable) or equivalent.
Fluency in English and Spanish are essential
This position requires experience in Quality Control Laboratory (up to 5 years) and 2 years of experience dealing with any Lubricants/Oil & Gas business
